The weekly ’30 Card Game continues in the Community Centre this Friday 7th April at 9pm. Thanks to the ladies for the teas last week. Catering on Fri 7th April will be: Liz Furlong, Ellie Walsh & Stella Delaney. On Fri 14th will be: Ann Redmond, Mary Furlong & Ann Marie Mackey. On Fri 21st will be: Cait Bradley, Josephine Hendrick, May Larkin & Betty O’Shea. On Fri 28th will be: Mary Kirwan, Betty Cullen & Lorna Komsa. Proceeds going to Parish Funds.

The Community Games County Gymnastic Finals will take place at Gorey Gym Club on Sunday 2nd April. Monday, April 10th is the closing date for receipt of entries for the indoor soccer.
Friday May 5th is the closing date for receipt of entries for the stage events, including the choir competition; these events will take place in Bree Hall on May 13th. Entries are also being sought for Gaelic football, hurling, camogie, rounders, and soccer. On Wednesday March 15th a group of ladies from the guild attended the convenor meeting in Campile. Thanks to the ladies from Horeswood for a very entertaining evening. Crafts: the craft classes finished on Tuesday March 28th. The ladies who attended the class found it most beneficial. Aqua aerobics are continuing every week in the Maldron Hotel. ICA has got talent competition takes place this weekend in the Horse and Hound. The ladies are having mighty craic (fun) at the rehearsals. On Thursday April 6th Aideen Reedy colour me beautiful consultant will give a presentation in the Community Centre at 8pm. This is open to non-ICA members, please feel free to come along and maybe you will pick up a few hints on fashion and colour etc. Free to enter. Our AGM is on Wednesday 12th April at 8pm in the Community Centre. New members are always welcome to come along for fun and friendship.
3 teams from Adamstown travelled to Athlone for the National Sportshall Athletics Final on Wednesday 22nd March. Well done to the 3rd/4th class Girls team who finished in overall 6th place. The team was Roisín Nicgabhainn, Kate Whelan, Roisín Colfer, Aoife McCabe, Megan Martin, Molly O’Reilly, Gráinne English, Laura O’Gorman, Molly Cloney and Eilish Roche. A great result by the 5th/6th class girls team as they finished in 5th place and their team was Ciara Mooney, Clodagh Crean, Isobel English, Maeve O’Neill, Caragh McDonald, Katie English, Aisling O’Dowd, Niamh English, Abbie Carthy Walsh, Sinéad Roche and Ella Furlong. Well done also to the 5th/6th class boys team that finished in 7th place and their team was Oscar MacGabhann, Aidan Whelan, Laurence Power, Dara Furlong, Ben Wall, Robert Wall, Jack Davitt, Luke Murphy and Luca. Well done to all the athletes that took part in representing their schools and county - they really should be very proud of themselves. Day 1 and 2 of the National Junior Indoor Championships took place last weekend in Athlone. We had 4 athletes taking part in different events and there were great performances by each of these athletes. Well done to Ryan Carthy Walsh who was 1st in the U19 Boys High Jump with a jump of 2.10m and Marguerite Furlong who finished in 2nd place in the U18 Girls Shot Putt with a best of 12.27m. Eadaoin Stafford finished in 7thplace in the u17 Girls Shot Putt and Triona Mooney finished 7th in the 1.5k Girls Walk. Well done to all 4 athletes. Our Annual Sponsored Walk will take place on Sunday 9th April. We will be meeting at Dolly’s and running to the Hedge School and cross country to the Man of the Rock, and then back to Dolly’s for refreshments. All club members should have their sponsorship cards but if not you can collect it at training.
Our condolences to the Barden family, Doononey and Mario Cosgrave and family Adamstown on the death of their aunt Margaret ‘Peg’ Barden nee Cosgrave, Haytown, Fethard on Sea. Her funeral Mass took place in St Aidan’s Church, Poulfur with burial in Poulfur Cemetery.
May she rest in peace.
Students from Coláiste Abbain attended Clayton Whites for the Student Enterprise Awards. Every September, secondary school entrepreneurs set up and run their own enterprises, learning about the world of business with help from their teachers and the Local Enterprise Office. Four students received a Merit Award for their business ‘Thumb Buddies’ Katie Goldsmith, Amy Miller, Caitlin Reville and Kian Quirke. Best display went to Thomas Coleman and Conor Murphy, with their business ‘2 cracked yolks’. Well done to all involved.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament weekend, Saturday and Sunday 1st & 2nd April. The Adoration will commence after evening Mass on Sat 1st April and continue during the night. You may place your name on the list in the porch of the church. On previous occasion we had adoration during the night approx. 60 people participated. Tea and refreshments will be available in the back porch of the Oratory during the night. O Sacrament Most Holy, O Sacrament Divine, all praise and all thank giving be every moment Thine.
Pope Francis has accepted an invitation to attend the World Family Day next year. A collection throughout the country will take place this weekend at all churches to meet the cost of holding this international event. A basket will be placed in the porch of the church after masses this weekend. Thank you for your generosity.
New signs in Wexford Co Hospital have the names of the patron saints of the wards removed, if you would like to register your disagreement with this policy you may do so by placing your name on the list in the porch of the church
Church gate collection on Saturday 8th April and Sunday 9th April in aid of Spina Bifida Association. Please give generously to this worthy cause.
Bishop Denis Brennan cordially invites you to join him and the priests of the diocese on Tuesday 11th for this Annual Celebration. The newly consecrated oils will be used during the coming year at Baptism, Confirmation, the Ordination of priests, and the anointing of the sick. You are asked to be in your seats by 7.30pm.

Lourdes tickets are currently being distributed throughout the Parish, any household may purchase up to 4 tickets. Tickets are €5 and all proceeds going to sending parishioners to Lourdes on the Diocesan Pilgrimage in May. Draw will take place at 10.30am mass on Easter Sunday.
Membership of the local GAA club for the coming year is due and should be paid immediately to any of the club officers
