The weekly ’30 Card Game continues in the Community Centre this Friday 23rd June at 9pm. Thanks to the ladies for the teas last week. On Fri 23rd will be: Bernie Hickey, Evelyn O’Gorman & Ann O’Gorman. On Fri 30th will be: Bridget O’Gorman, Ann Stafford, Kay Whelan & Agnes Whelan. Proceeds going to Parish Funds. The 70th Agricultural, Horticultural, Trade & Vintage Show will be held in Adamstown on Saturday 1st July at 10am. The Show Committee are going all out this year for their 70th show. The next split the pot draw takes place in Adamstown National School on Wednesday 28th June. This will be the last one before the summer holidays and we are hoping for good support. Envelopes are €2 and available in Cullen’s Pub, Adamstown Pharmacy, Bernie’s Pub & Chipper and in the school. Your support is much appreciated.
The meals delivery service is available to senior citizens or those who are incapacitated from Raheen, Clonroche, Newbawn, Adamstown and surrounding areas. This takes place every Tuesday and consists of soup and main course or main course and dessert. If you would like more information or wish to avail of this service please contact 051 428805
The Adamstown area for Community Games recently held races for the upcoming County Community Games. The results were u8 boys; 1st Bobby O’Shea, 2nd Liam Duffy, u10 boys; 1st Bobby McDonald, 2nd Daniel Murphy, 3rd Riain O’Shea, 4th Luke Cullen, u10 girls; 1st Aine Crean, 2nd Eva O’Gorman, 3rd Sinead Duffy, 4th Katelyn O’Shea, u12 boys; 1st Donny McDonald, 2nd Jack O’Shea, 3rd Watt Crean, 4th Johnny Smith and Joe Whelan, u12 girls; 1st Niamh English, 2nd Grainne English, 3rd Aoife McCabe and Megan Martin, 4th Molly O’Reilly, u14 girls; 1st Isobel English, 2nd Ciara Mooney, 3rd Clodagh Crean. Well done to all those that competed and will now go on to compete at the County Community Games Final at the Sportshub Enniscorthy on Sunday June 25th.
Well done to Ryan Carthy Walsh who was 3rd at the Senior Men’s High Jump in Oordegem T&F Belgium. He had been selected on the Irish Team to compete in the European Team Championships in Finland on June 23-25. Well done Ryan.
If you use the walking track you must pay membership to the Community Centre. Being a paid up member of any other club e.g. GAA, Soccer, Athletics does not cover you to use the walking track, unless you play or compete for these clubs and you use the track for training. We will collect membership on Saturday 24th June from 10am to 4pm. New members are welcome.

A Social Evening takes place in Mary Teresa Redmond's, Millview, Foulksmills on Saturday 8th July from 5pm to 9pm. This event is in aid of Co. Wexford Community Workshop (Enniscorthy) CLG. Refreshments will be served all evening. There will be musical entertainment on stage with many talented musicians and a bouncy castle for the children. Please support this worthy cause and bring along a friend
The Secondary Schools All-Ireland T&F Championships took place in Tullamore on Saturday 3rd June. Marguerite Furlong was 1st in the Inter. Girls Discus, Ryan Carthy Walsh was 1st in the Senior Boys High Jump, Triona Mooney was 4th in the Senior Girls 3k Walk and Tara Doyle was 7th in the Senior Girls Triple Jump. Well done to all 4 athletes on such great performances representing their schools and club. Marguerite Furlong won the U18 Girls Hammer at the County Hammer Championships on Friday 9th June. Ciara Mooney travelled to Tullamore for the u12/u13 Leinster Championships and finished 3rd in the u13 Girls Shot Putt. Many athletes travelled to the Ballon Open T&F event and the results were: Laura O’Gorman 3rd in the u11 Girls Turbo Jav., Ross English 2nd in the u11 Boys Turbo Jav., Isobel English 3rd in the u13 Girls High Jump, Ciara Mooney 2nd in the u14 Girls Shot Putt, Katie English 3rd in the u14 Girls Shot Putt, Ben Wall 3rd in the u14 Boys 100m, Luca Ciccardi 3rd in the u14 Boys Shot Putt, Ben Wall 2nd in the u14 Boys Long Jump, Robert Wall 1st in the u14 Boys 600m, Ben Wall 2nd in the u14 Boys 600m, Ella English 3rd in the u15 Girls Long Jump, Ella English 1st in the u15 Girls Shot Putt and Craig Wall 1st in the u16 Boys 100m.

Huge congratulations to Caragh McDonald, she won a gold medal in the u11 Girls Long Jump.
