ADAMSTOWN COMMUNITY ALERT
Once again the grant for “Socially Monitored Alarms” and “Security Lighting” has been made available to the committee. The grant is available to all people over 65 years. The committee would advise all those eligible for the grant to avail of same. In 2009 this grant was with dawn for the elderly, but thankfully after a change of heart the new scheme is now in operation under the new name of “Senior Alert Scheme”. Anyone wishing to avail of same is asked to have their name left with the secretary or any member of the committee before October the 4th. Any names received after this date may be late for inclusion of the scheme. The Secretary can be contacted on 053 9240837.

THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK
This is what the Lord asks of you: Only this
To walk justly, to love tenderly
And to walk humbly with your God
“I have this image of heaven
that we’ll find nothing new there.
We’ll wake from the long hours of sleep
and nightmares and dreams
and find that the arms which hold us
will be the arms which have always held us”.
(Fr Brian D’Arcy.)
