MARY CONNORS R.I.P
Mary Connors, Bradley’s Hill, Adamstown who was in her early 80’s passed away on Tuesday morning last in Wexford General Hospital. Mary had been ill for some time. She made her home in Adamstown with her late husband Jim, 35years ago when they bought Bradley’s house on the Hill. Mary was held in very high esteem and great affection by her family, friends and neighbours in the community. She was a deeply spiritual person. The respect in which she was held was very much evident at her funeral Mass which was celebrated by Fr Nolan and Fr Jim Furlong. I am sure she would have been proud of her grandchildren who sang at her funeral Mass. Sympathy is extended to her sons, Johnny, Gerry, Mickie, Hughie, Lukie, Paddy, Tom, Jim & Martin, to her daughters Joan & Mary, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her many relations, friends and neighbours. Mary was laid to rest with her husband Jim in Crosstown Cemetery. May She Rest in Peace.
DO NOT STAND AT MY GRAVE AND WEEP
Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow; I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain; I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there, I did not die.
By Mary E,Frye.
A THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
This is what the Lord asks of you, only this,
To walk justly, to love tenderly and to walk humbly with your GOD.
