Rev James Finn retired Parish Priest of Glynn. He was educated at Adamstown National School, Enniscorthy Christian Brothers School and St Peters College, Wexford. He entered the House of Missions in December 1949, where he remained for some years. In January 1975 he became Parish Priest of Glynn. One of the highlights of his pastoral was the celebration of the bi-centenary of Glynn Parish Church. During nineteen years in Glynn he had the Church renovated, a car park provided, work done on the grave yard, the erection of a community centre, provision of a community field as well as adding four new classrooms to the school. He retired form Glynn in 1994. Our sympathy is extended to his brother Noel and family, Kellystown, sister’s Sr. Mary Genevieve, & Sr. Mary Camillus, (St Anne’s Convent, Kent, UK), nieces, nephews, relations and friends. His Funeral Concelebrated Mass was celebrated on Monday last in St Lawrence’s Church, Glynn, with burial afterward in Glynn Cemetery. May He Rest in Peace.
