ADAMSTOWN COMMUNITY CENTRE AGM

During the recent Adamstown Community Centre AGM

many areas were discussed to improve the facilities provided for our community. Plans for the coming year are to paint inside, replace floor tiles, improve the heating system and provide toilet facilities for the users of the walking track.

A grant has also been applied for, to install solar panels to help with the high cost of electricity. With these improvements planned, the craft fair this year will be our main fundraiser and will be held on Sunday 1st December. A very special guest will be in attendance this year for all the children in our community. All support on this day is greatly appreciated.

Any enquiries in relation to the craft fair, please contact Geraldine on 087 7631449.

A PRAYER FOR PATRON DAY – For Loved Ones

Lord, be good to them,

And show them all your love,

Lord, be kind to them,

And grant them peace above.

Lord, be merciful to them,

And wipe their sins away.

Lord, be generous to them,

With all my heart I pray.

Lord, be gracious to them,

For good that they have done.

Lord, be gentle with them,

For sufferings undergone.

Lord, may we meet again,

When heaven’s crown is won.

Amen.

A THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

I expect to pass through this world but once; any good thing,  therefore, that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any fellow-creature, let me do it now; let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.

WORDS OF WISDOM

Every king was once a helpless baby, every oak tree once an acorn, every mighty ocean swell once a ripple, and every great structure once a blueprint.

It’s not where you are today, but where you are going that counts.
